Our herd is made up of the horses who have found a permanent home with us and, for one reason or another, we have decided not to rehome. Some may have specific needs that make finding the right home difficult, while others have simply become part of the EquiScire family.
At the moment, our permanent herd is small as we lack funding to take more on, but that can change at any given moment. As we rescue, rehabilitate and rehome horses, some will move on to carefully selected homes, while others may stay with us for life.

Tsuki is a 21 year old Hispano Arab gelding. He has been with Molly since he was 3 days old, she rescued him from slaughter shortly after his birth in 2005.
Shoshana is a 3 year old PRE filly. She came to us in 2025 after she was found in a field where she was left to starve to death. Shoshana has a genetic degenerative joint disease which is why we believe she was abandoned as she will never be able to be ridden.

Negrito is a 26 years old Shetland. He was discarded as an unwanted child’s pony and left to freely wander on roads. He joined the herd in 2022
Penny is a 24 year old Welsh section A mare. Penny came to the centre in 2025 to retire. She struggles with chronic wind-sucking and although the exact cause is unknown we believe she was exposed to a lot of stress at some point in her life.

India is a 7 year old Hispano Arab mare. India joined the herd this year. She was entrusted to the rescue’s care as her owner lovingly prioritised her future well-being.
